High-school sweethearts that stick together and get married are rare; high-school sweethearts that span more than a decade, get engaged, and stay in a duo electro-pop band almost forever are unicorns, as far as I’m concerned. HEXES AND OHS’ Edmund Lam and Heidi Donnelly make everything look easy with their tickety-boo lyrics and save the damsel storylines. In 2005, the Montreal couple came out with Goodbye Friend Welcome Lover, and have followed it up by an evolving Bedroom Madness three years later. Their sweet electro melodies give out hugs for free with its catchy ‘80s nuances, and we-like-to-party tracks. Whadaya Know? Unicorns have magical powers to bring out slap happy warm fuzzies.
